This is my second and the first post on Blogging topic. In this post, I'm going to the base about Blogging i.e. I'm gonna tell you the most used words and terminals that all the bloggers use in their Blogs ... They are the most important things or keywords which every blogger should know!!! Here they go:
Archives: The index page where the posts or entries are organized either by date or category.
Blog: A personal website that you get for free by different companies like Blogger, WordPress etc.. A blog is a daily journal in which data are posted in reverse chronological order. Blogs are posted daily and frequently rather than being a constant(i.e. one time post)
Blogger: A person like me, you and all those who blog and write journals.
Blogosphere: A community of bloggers.
Blogroll: The list of links of other/recommended blog and resources usually found in the sidebar of blog!!
Spam Comment: The useless links and other resources which are generally considered as spam. Generally they are the comments that comes from the auto-system that are running in the blogosphere.
Dashboard: The control panel of your blog from where you've full option of what to do new or edit on your blog.
Niche: Niche generally refers to the particular topic of your blog. Every blog is established under its own niche. You can make a blog on the niche that you know the most.
Permalink: The unique URL of the single post in your blog.
Photo blog: A blog that mostly has photos than posts. This type of blog is mostly made by the photographers.
Traffic: The most important and useful thing in blogging success. Traffic refers to the number of visitors that a website gets everyday. Higher ranked websites gets higher traffic than lower ranked one.
Widget: Feature of a blog to make the navigation process easier. In other words, widget is a piece of code that gets plugged with the coding of the blog to display links, photos, etc.
Wordpress: The content management system that maintains the blogs and websites that are hosted under wordpress.
Ping: Ping is a application type which tells the search engines or directories about the new post or happening in your blog. After you ping your blog, its becomes search Engine friendly, you can get more search results of your blog in search Engines. If you wanna ping you blog, please go here:
RSS Feed: RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS is a system which is used to keep the track of updates of a blog/website. If you have used RSS feed, then you don't need to bookmark a site as it was done in the olden days before RSS was established!! If you want to know about new articles about you fav. blog/website then subscribe to the RSS feed of that website via. Email. Then you'll be getting the new comments, posts and much more on your Email rather than checking the particular blog post!! Its really simple to use RSS. Just go to Google Reader and use it as a RSS reader!!

Draft: It’s one of those blog terms that have been borrowed from the print industry. Anything that gets saved or stored before action is known as draft. A saved blog post or a comment is drafts until they are available for the public to view. If you don’t want to post a written article on your blog, you can save it as draft for later use (as in Blogger and WordPress).
